Within the framework of the intense efforts provided by the various detachments and units of the People's National Army in their fight against terrorism and in the wake of the quality operation that recently resulted in the elimination of (08) terrorists and the capture of (07) others, as well as the recovery of weapons and ammunition, and following the efficient use of information provided by the captured terrorist Betayeb Youcef, known as "Osama Abou Sofiane Anighassi" ( Emir of the terrorist group), detachments of the PNA proceeded, during search operations in Skikda and Jijel, to dig up the remains of the terrorist named Belabès Eddine Tayeb, known as Abou El-Abbès in Oued Djen Djen in Djimar, wilaya of Jijel. The said terrorist joined the terrorist groups in 1993 before being shot dead in 2013.


      These detachments discovered and destroyed (12) terrorists’ casemates, and recovered one (01) RPG-7 rocket launcher, one (01) RPG-2 rocket launcher, two (02) FMPK machine guns, one (01 ) RPK submachine gun, five (05) homemade bombs, explosives, six (06) rockets for RPG-2, two (02) rockets for RPG-7, (06) detonators for RPG-7, two (02) charges for RPG-2, (888) bullets, two (02) transceivers, two (02) laptops as well as a sum of money in national and foreign currency, clothes, food and other objects .


      This quality operation reiterates the effectiveness of the approach adopted by the People's National Army’s High Command for the eradication of terrorism from the entire national territory, as well as the determination of the units of our Armed Forces to pursue these residues of terrorism everywhere.
