1st day of the official visit of Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army in Qatar
On the first day of his official visit to the State of Qatar, the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army took part in the opening of the works of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference “DIMDEX 2022”. The Lieutenant General visited the exhibition and stopped for a long time in front of the Qatari stand, where he inquired about Qatari military production in the various defence systems and mechanisms.
Afterwards, the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA met the General Hamad Ben Ali Al Attiyah, consular to His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar for Defence Affairs, to whom he conveyed, at the same time, the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, addressed to His Highness Tamim Ben Hamed Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. For his part, the General Hamad Ben Ali Al Attiyah hailed Algeria's defence policy and its extensive experience, before discussing Algeria's illustrious history and its involvement within the fight against terrorism and its eradication.
Lieutenant General, Chief of Staff of People's National Army held a second meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, the Lieutenant General Salem Ben Hamad Al Akeel Al Nabet, during which they raised issues relating to training in the military field and the exchange of experiences between the armies of the two countries, before closing the session with the exchange of symbolic gifts.
Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army was welcomed, yesterday Sunday 20th March 2022, on his arrival at Doha International Airport, by the Major General Jassim Al-Mohanndi, Chief of the Examination Body, and the Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Mansouri, Director of Protocols and Public Relations at the General Command of the Qatar Armed Forces, as well as the Ambassador of Algeria in Qatar, the Qatari Ambassador in Algiers and the Qatari Defence Attaché in Algiers.
It should be noted that the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference "DIMDEX-2022" is one of the largest military events in the Middle East, attended by 200 specialized companies.
