On the second day of his official visit to the State of Qatar, the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army took part in the official opening of the Marines Commanders Conference in the Middle-East which revolves around the international challenges in securing the seas and the Middle East region which requires a permanent readiness of the Naval Forces.
At Port Hamad in Doha, numerous countries participated in the Maritime Defence Exhibition "DIMDEX 2022", with ships, such as the frigate "Al-Modamir", ship's number "911" belonging to our Naval Forces which left the port of Algiers on 04th March 2022.
The Lieutenant General visited this multi-mission building in the presence of the Major General, Commander of the Naval Forces and the Ambassador of our country in Doha. On this occasion, the Lieutenant General addressed the crew members of the said building, reminding them of the importance of Algeria's participation in this exhibition.
Moreover, the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA visited the training ship "Doha QTS-91" belonging to the Naval School Mohamed Ben Ghanem, which is working to train the first Qatari promotion within the framework of the national naval officer training. As such, the Lieutenant General scheduled a visit to Algeria for the benefit of this ship during the training period. Then, he proceeded to the signing of the guest book before receiving a symbolic gift from the Commander of the ship "Doha QTS-91".
It should be noted that Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA has, once again, visited the DIMDEX 2022 exhibition and went to the Chinese stand to follow a presentation on the latest military products of the People's Republic of China.
