Operational report of PNA from 26th October to 1st November 2022
Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 26th October to 1st November 2022, several operations which led to results of high quality that reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of fight against terrorism, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested (09) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory, while two (02) casemates and four (04) homemade bombs were discovered and destroyed in Tipaza and Chlef.
Within the framework of fight against organized crime and in continuity with sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA arrested, in coordination with various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (31) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (04) quintals and (78) kilograms of treated kif and seized one (01) FMPK submachine gun, a large quantity of ammunition, as well as (69,342) psychotropic tablets and (839) grams of cocaine.
In addition, detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Tindouf (277) individuals and seized two (02) machine guns type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition, (29) vehicles, (162) generators, (132) jackhammers, (07) metal detectors, (74.5) tons of raw gold and stones mixture, as well as detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations, while (38) other individuals were arrested and (09) hunting rifles, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (41) tons, as well as (85.1) quintals of tobacco and (1,682) units of various beverages were seized during separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, Border Guards foiled, in coordination with of National Gendarmerie services, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (70,247) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Adrar, Tebessa, Souk Ahras and El-Tarf.
In addition, Coast Guards thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (519) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (217) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
