Operational report of PNA from 02nd to 08th November 2022
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 02nd to 08th November 2022, several operations which led to high quality results reflecting professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested (07) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuity of the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of the People's National Army arrested, in coordination with various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (54) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce huge quantities of drugs from borders with Morocco, amounting to (11) quintals and (95) kilograms of treated kif, while they seized large quantities of psychotropic tablets amounting to (649838) tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of People's National Army intercepted (379) individuals and seized (23) vehicles, (298) generators, (146) jackhammers, (11) metal detectors, as well as detonating tools and equipment used in illegal gold panning operations, while (37) other individuals were arrested and (25) shotguns, (33854) shotgun cartridges, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (342) tons, as well as (53) quintals of tobacco and (31139) units of various beverages were seized during separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with services of the National Gendarmerie, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (12376) litres in Tamanrasset, Tebessa, Souk Ahras and El-Tarf.
In addition, Coast Guards thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (161) individuals on handmade boats, while (166) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
