Operational report of PNA from 09th to 15th November 2022
Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 09th to 15th November 2022, several operations which led to quality results reflecting the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of fight against terrorism, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested (03) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory, while (14) homemade bombs were discovered and destroyed during a search and excavation operation in Tipaza.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA arrested, in coordination with various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (45) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (03) quintals and (21) kilograms of treated kif, while they seized large quantities of psychotropic tablets amounting to (236,977) tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of PNA intercepted (151) individuals and seized (36) vehicles, (253) generators, (210) jackhammers, (05) metal detectors, (22) tons of raw gold and stones mixture, as well as detonating tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations, while (10) other individuals were arrested and (15) hunting rifles, (04) automatic pistols, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (05) tons, as well as (63) quintals of tobacco and (3,900) units of various beverages were seized in separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie services, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (25,528) litres in Tebessa, Souk Ahras, El-Tarf, El-Oued and Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
In addition, Coast Guard thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (60) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (108) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
