Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 23rd to 29th November 2022, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested (09) support elements for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.

      Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within continuity with the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (62) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce huge quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (03) quintals and (55) kilograms of treated kif, while (116940) psychotropic tablets were seized.


      In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Tindouf, People's National Army detachments intercepted (312) individuals and seized one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition, (29) vehicles, (264) generators, (111) jackhammers, (01) metal detector, as well as detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations, while (21) other individuals were arrested and (04) hunting rifles, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (92) tons, as well as (26941) packets of tobacco and (28099) units of various beverages were seized during separate operations across the national territory.



      In the same context, the Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the services of the National Gendarmerie, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (24065) litres in Tébessa, Souk Ahras, El-Tarf and Tamanrasset , while (178) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
