General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army on a working and inspection visit in the 1st Military Region

      General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff People’s National Army, carried out today Monday, 03rd October 2022, a working and inspection visit in Djelfa in the 1st Military Region, Where he supervised the inauguration ceremonies of new fuel supply units that were reinforced the People’s National Army Battle Corps.


      After the welcoming ceremony, the General accompanied by Commander of the 1st Military Region and Central Directors of Ministry of National Defence and of People’s National Army General Staff, inaugurated the Central Establishment of Fuel Supply in Djelfa.

  

      Afterwards, the General followed a detailed presentation on this sensitive establishment and on the missions assigned to it within the fuel supply system of the various military units and formations deployed in the area, before inspecting the various services, infrastructures and workshops available in this establishment and receiving by the way further information on their missions.

  

      Then, the General inaugurated the Fuel Technology Training Centre located in the same site, where he followed a presentation on the above mentioned Centre and its missions, notably in terms of training, before inspecting its various educational and life infrastructures and receiving further clarifications presented by the centre managers on all aspects relating to the field of specialization.

  

      Afterwards, the General went to the Regional Depot of Fuel Supply, where he supervised its inauguration ceremony and visited its various annexes and infrastructures. He also inquired about the state-of-readiness of its equipment and installations, before giving to the staff and the executives of this unit firm guidelines and instructions on the imperative to preserve this vital achievement, and to respect security measures and to carry out the assigned missions seriously and rigorously.

  

  

      At the end, the General held a meeting with the executives and the staff of the three inaugurated units, where he delivered an orientation speech, at the beginning of which he emphasized the importance that the High Command of People’s National Army attaches to the fuel support units that he described as arteries that supply the Battle Corps with energy and whose management must be perceptive, while preserving and exploiting it with the necessary mastery and rationalism:

  

      “We consider fuel supply units as arteries that supply People’s National Army Battle Corps with energy, and we are fully convinced that the military’s ability, psychological and moral disposition, and combat aptitude depend greatly on the competence of logistic networks with this vital matter and the credibility of their functioning.

      Wars were and still are wars of ultimate supply and resources, and victory would be reserved only for those who will be able to manage these resources and to bring them, at the appropriate time, to the various levels of the forces, while striving to streamline their management, preservation and operation with all skill and relevance.

      As such, People’s National Army High Command gives the Central Directorate of Fuels the importance it deserves, In particular, through the new achievements that constitute an important cornerstone able to contribute effectively to the permanent optimization of the ready-state of our Battle Corps”.


      The General emphasized the need to give more integration to the roles and the synergy of efforts between the different types of forces and logistics structures with all its branches, to anchor the character of efficiency in the performance, and to acquire the quality of continuously adapting to the operational requirements imposed by the field:

  

      “We have also ensured, as part of development increasing process of People’s National Army, to confer integration of roles and synergy of efforts between the different types of forces and logistics structures with all its branches, to anchor the character of efficiency in performance, and to demonstrate the ability to adapt wisely and continuously to the operational requirements imposed by the field and by precipitate or opinionated developments.

      Success in this vital mission requires to allow utmost importance to precise and objective definition of the real present and future needs of People’s National Army Battle Corps. This success is also based on strict compliance with storage standards and safety and protection rules, in line with current standards in this area”.


      At the end, the General gave the floor to the personnel of the three units, to express their concerns and to present their suggestions. As such, they reiterated their firm determination to carry out their sensitive missions with dedication and loyalty in the service of their country and their valiant people.

      At the end of the visit, the General signed the guestbook of the inaugurated units.
