General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff People's National Army, presided, this Sunday 30th October 2022 at Ministry of National Defence headquarters, the ceremony of ranks and medals handing over to a number of executives of Ministry of National Defence, officers and non-commissioned officers, on the occasion of commemorative festivities of the 68th anniversary of 1st November 1954 Revolution outbreak.
The ceremony began with the handing over of ranks to promoted staff and medals to executives, in presence of Secretary General of Ministry of National Defence, Commanders of Forces and of National Gendarmerie and Directors and Chiefs of Central Services of Ministry of National Defence and of People’s National Army General Staff.
Afterward, the General delivered a speech in which he congratulate himself of supervising this ceremony, which constitutes a secular tradition within the military Institution, expressing sincere congratulations to the whole, promoted and awarded with medals, staff:
“First, it is a pleasure for me to express my satisfaction to meet you, today, on the occasion of this ceremony of ranks and medals handing over which I have the honour of presiding, with the deep conviction that these distinctions constitute a secular tradition within the military Institution and a testimony of gratitude to the promoted and awarded executives, for their work and perseverance in the service of their army and their country.
Therefore, I will certainly salute, exceptionally, the promoted executives for the considerable efforts they have made in recent years, such PNA athletes and members of the Women’s Parachute Jump Selection who committed and distinguished themselves with merit in this difficult discipline previously reserved exclusively for men.
In this respect, on behalf of President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, I would like to address my sincere congratulations to the whole promoted staff and awarded with medals executives, wishing them all the success in their professional careers”.

The General also wished to congratulate the presented executives and staff on the occasion of the commemoration of the 68th anniversary of 1st November 1954 Revolution outbreak. An occasion to perpetuate the duty of recognition and consideration towards the heroes of Algeria, to renew the oath made to the martyrs of yesterday and of today and to pay a vibrant tribute to those who have honoured their commitment to Allah and the homeland:
“On the occasion of festivities commemorating the 68th anniversary of 1st November 1954 Revolution outbreak, I would like to present to you my warmest congratulations on this memorable date of our history, which revive the strongest feelings of pride and of respect towards the glories of our predecessors, and which animate in us the sense of sacrifice and abnegation for our country.
It is also an opportunity to testify our appreciation and consideration for the heroes of Algeria, who have preserved the legacy and honoured their commitment, and draw on lessons and noble values to which we must adhere. It is also an opportunity to renew our oath to the martyrs, past and present, and to remember those who have honoured their commitment to Allah and the homeland”.
