Operational report of PNA from 28th September to 04th October 2022
Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 28th September to 04th October 2022, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (07) support elements for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of fight against organized crime and in continuity with the intense efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA arrested, in coordination with various security services during numerous operations carried out across the Military Regions, (69) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (14) quintals and (39) kilograms of treated kif, while (462,598) of psychotropic tablets were also seized.
In addition, detachments of the People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, (110) individuals and seized (28) vehicles, (172) generators, (192) jackhammers, (07) metal detectors, as well as detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations, while (47) other individuals were arrested and (18) hunting rifles, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling amounting to (129) tons, as well as (45) quintals of tobacco, (155,057) units of pyrotechnic articles and (17,143) units of various drinks were seized in Adrar, Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Batna, Biskra , El-Oued, Laghouat, Ain Defla and Relizane. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with National Gendarmerie services, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (152,275) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Adrar, Tamanrasset, Tebessa, El- Tarf and Souk Ahras.
In addition, Coast Guard thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (159) individuals on board craft-built boats, while (336) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
