General, Chief of Staff of PNA presides over a distinction ceremony in honour of the national military dog-training team

      General, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, chaired this morning, Saturday 10th September 2022, at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters, a ceremony of distinction in honour of the members of the national military dog-training team, under the National Gendarmerie Command, further to its honourable participation in the “True Friend” exercise, which took place from 15th to 27th August 2022, in Uzbekistan, within the framework of international military games events, held annually in the Russian Federation.


      The ceremony was attended by, General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence, Commanders of Forces and of National Gendarmerie, Chiefs of Departments and Central Directors of Ministry of National Defence and of General Staff of People's National Army.

  

      For the occasion, the General delivered a speech, through which he addressed, in the name of the President of the Republic, and in his own name, the most sincere congratulations, to the national military dog-training team, who returned back to the country that the results honoured Algeria and People's National Army:

  

      “Further to your very honourable participation in the True Friend exercise, which took place from 15th to 27th August 2022 in Uzbekistan, I am very happy to welcome you today, in this symbolic ceremony, to convey to you the strongest congratulations of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, and to introduce to you, in my turn, in my personal name and on behalf of all the personnel of People's National Army, the most sincere congratulations, on the occasion of the remarkable participation of our national military dog-training team, under National Gendarmerie Command, which returned to the country with results that honoured Algeria and PNA.

      You have rightly been the best ambassadors of Algerian military sport, of which People's National Army, worthy heir to the National Liberation Army, is proud to always carry its flag high, just as you have succeeded in engraving your mark in the history of this international military championship, through these results, which consecrate the message of peace, love, friendship and brotherhood conveyed by the slogan of these games, organized every year in Russia, and which correspond perfectly to our noble and immutable national values.

      Through these exceptional results, which are added to the remarkable success achieved by our national team in the specialty Airborne Section-2022, recently hosted by Algeria, you have demonstrated the major steps taken by military sport in Algeria, in the different disciplines, thanks to the continuous and sustained interest reserved by the High Command, in the field of sports and physical education within PNA.”

      The General addressed his sincere thanks and deep gratitude to the coaches and technical staff who, through their desire to succeed, gave love of country its full meaning:

      “I take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the coaches and technical staff who, through their desire to succeed, have given love of country its full meaning and have confirmed that the managers and the personnel of PNA, who carry Algeria in their hearts, will spare no effort to achieve victory, not only at the sporting level, but at all levels.

      I remain convinced that the competence and professionalism of our executives and staff, as well as their perfect awareness of the responsibility assigned to them, will always encourage them to assume, with determination and enthusiasm, the assigned missions, and to be driven by the will to achieve victory, linked as it is to the faithful and sincere love of the homeland.”

      At the end of this ceremony, the athletes were awarded certificates of encouragement and took a collective photo, in memory of this event.
