Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 07th to 13th September 2022, several operations having led to high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (05) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of fight against organized crime and in continuity with intense efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA arrested, in coordination with various security services during numerous operations carried out through Military Regions, (50) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (18) quintals and (07) kilograms of treated kif, while (5.1) kilograms of cocaine and (296,475) psychotropic tablets were also seized.


In addition, detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, (262) individuals and seized (02) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition, (16) vehicles, (47) generators, (34) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, as well as detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold panning operations, while (16) other individuals were arrested and (09) hunting rifles, (04) automatic pistols, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling amounting to (11) tons, as well as (27) quintals of tobacco and (14010) units of pyrotechnic articles were seized in Ouargla, Biskra, El-Oued, Setif, Batna, M'sila and In Guezzam. In the same context, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with National Gendarmerie services, attempts to smuggle large quantities of fuel amounting to (12,380) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tebessa, El-Tarf and Souk Ahras.

In addition, Coast Guard thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (337) individuals on board homemade boats, while (176) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
