Operational report of PNA from 21st to 27th September 2022
Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 21st to 27th September 2022, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (10) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory, while another detachment seized, during a search and raking operation in El-Menia, one (01) FMPK submachine gun, (535) bullets and other objects.
Within the framework of fight against organized crime and within the continuity with the intense efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested, in coordination with the various security services during numerous operations carried out through the Military Regions, (39) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (14) quintals and (17) kilograms of treated kif, while (121,015) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In addition, detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, (100) individuals and seized (38) vehicles, (312) generators, (155) jackhammers, (06) metal detectors, (30) tons of raw gold and stones mixture, as well as detonating tools and equipment used in illegal gold panning operations, while (30) other individuals were arrested and (07) hunting rifles, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling amounting to (36.5) tons, as well as (73) quintals of tobacco and (10,971) units of various drinks were seized in Laghouat, Biskra, El-Oued, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Setif, Batna and Oran. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with National Gendarmerie services, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (29,660) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tamanrasset and El-oued.
In addition, Coast Guard thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (209) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (165) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
