Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts provided by the security services of the Ministry of National Defence, the terrorist named "BENKHIA Iyad" known as Abdelkahar", surrendered yesterday, Sunday August 06^th, 2023, to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region. The said terrorist, who had joined the terrorist groups activating in the Sahel region in 2016, had in his possession, one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, one (01) charger and a quantity of ammunition.

      This operation consolidates the positive results obtained on the ground which signify the immense vigilance and firm determination of the units and personnel of People's National Army to preserve the security and stability of the country.
