Major General Mohamed ADJROUD, Commander of the 6th Military Region receives the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Niger Armed Forces
Within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Niger, the Brigadier General Ibrahim Aissa BOULAMA, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Niger Armed Forces arrived on 25th April 2023, at the head of a military delegation, in the 6th Military Region, where he was welcomed by the Major General Mohamed ADJROUD, Commander of the 6th Military Region.
During this visit, the Major General Mohamed ADJROUD chaired a coordination meeting with the Nigerien delegation, in the presence of the Major General Belkacem HASNAT, Chief of Employment-Preparation Department of People's National People's Army General Staff and executives of People's National Army, during which the two parties examined the means of concretizing, on the field, the security approach adopted by the High Commands of the two Armies in the field of the fight against the different forms of security threats, including the fight against terrorism, cross-border crime and illegal immigration. As such, it was agreed on the imperative to intensify operational coordination on the ground, by planning joint patrols all along the border strip between Algeria and Niger.
During this meeting, Brigadier General Ibrahim Aissa BOULAMA emphasized the convergence of visions and analyzes of the Commands of the two countries, relating to the prevailing security issues, seizing this opportunity to ensure that his country is perfectly favourable to the consolidation bilateral military cooperation ties.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties signed the meeting's minutes and exchanged symbolic gifts, before the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Nigerien Armed Forces signed the guest book of 6th Military Region.
