Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the security services of People's National Army, one (01) terrorist surrendered on 23rd April 2023, to the military authorities of Brodj-Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region. The surrendered individual is named "KADIR Khalifa" alias "Blech", who had joined the terrorist groups activating in the Sahel region in 2017. The said terrorist had in his possession:

• One (01) machine gun (FMPK); ;
• One (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov;
• Three (03) ammunition chargers and three (03) ammunition belt (FMPK);
• One (01) satellite communication device, as well as a quantity of ammunition of different calibres and various items.

      This operation demonstrates, once again, the high degree of vigilance and effectiveness of People's National Army units in charge of the fight against terrorism and the securing of borders.
