General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of PNA Staff attends the inhumation of the defunct Moudjahid, retired Major General Khaled NEZZAR at El-Alia cemetery
The remains of late Moudjahid, retired Major General Khaled NEZZAR, former Minister of National Defence, were buried in the afternoon of Saturday 30th December 2023, at El-Alia cemetery in Algiers, in the presence of the General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff , Prime Minister Mohamed Nadir Larbaoui, Mr. Boualem Boualem, Acting Chief of the Presidential Cabinet , alongside members of the Government, as well as the General, Commander of the Republican Guard, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commanders of Forces and the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the Chiefs of Departments and Directors and Chiefs of Central Services of Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff of People's National Army, national and revolutionary personalities, family members of the deceased and a number of citizens.
In his funeral oration, the Inspector of Information and Communication of PNA General Staff paid tribute to the deceased, praising his values and his rich and honourable career as a Moudjahid in the ranks of the Liberation National Army during the National Glorious Liberation Revolution and as a senior officer of People's National Army after independence.
Earlier on Saturday morning, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff, accompanied by senior PNA officers, visited the deceased family home, where he attended the raising of the body and the recitation of the Fatiha over the soul of the deceased.
On this sad occasion, the General reiterated, on his own behalf and on behalf of all the officers and personnel of People's National Army, his sincere condolences and deep sympathy to the family of the deceased, praying to Almighty Allah to grant him His Holy Mercy and to lend strength and courage to his family.
