Within the framework of their sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and organised crime in all its forms, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations during the period from 29th November to 5th December 2023. These operations produced high-quality results that reflect the high level of professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (12) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory.

      Within the framework of combating organized crime and continuing the tireless efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, joint detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with various security services during operations across the military regions, arrested (70) drug traffickersand thwarted attempts to introduce (13) quintals and (32) kilograms of treated kif crossed the border with Morocco, while (348,758) psychotropic tablets were seized.



      In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezam and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested (178) persons and seized (16) vehicles, (118) generators, (76) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, and (30) quintals of raw gold and stones, in addition quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations, while (30) other persons were arrested and (19) hunting rifles, (48,227) litters of fuel, and (06) tons of foodstuffsintended for smuggling and speculation, and (20) quintals of tobacco, during separate operations across the national territory.




      On the other hand, the coast guards were able to thwart illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts by (41) individuals aboardartisanalboats, while (78) illegal immigrants from different nationalities from were arrested across the national territory.
