In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the People's National Army executed, during the period from 13th to 19th December , 2023, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      As part of fight against terrorism, detachments of People’s National Army arrested (08) elements supporting terrorist groups, during separate operations across the national territory.

      As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (113) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (13) quintals and (51) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (162,819) psychotropic tablets were seized.



      In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (31) individuals and seized (13) vehicles, (66) generators, (30) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, as well as quantities explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (33) other individuals were intercepted and (02) Kalashnikov type submachine guns, (07) hunting rifles, (03) automatic pistols, (24,016) liters of fuel, (04) tons of foodstuffs intended for the smuggling and speculation, (11) quintals of tobacco and (12,698) units of various drinks were seized in separate operations across the national territory.



      Furthermore, combined detachments of People's National Army apprehended (351) illegal immigrants of different nationalities across the national territory.
