During a security and surveillance patrol in our territorial waters, on the morning of Monday 11th December 2023 at approximately 8:40, a Coast Guard unit from the Western Maritime Facade in the Second Military Region intercepted three (03) persons on board a jet ski, who crossed our western territorial waters for about seven (07) nautical miles north of Marsa Ben M’hidi beach. The ongoing Initial investigations have revealed that the arrested persons hold Moroccan nationality.

      This operation confirms once again the high readiness and constant vigilance of People’s National Army, especially in this maritime border area is known for the intense activity of drug trafficking, organized crime and illegal immigration.
