General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA receives in audience the Secretary of the Security Council the Russian Federation
General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army received in audience, This Monday 27th 2023, At the Headquarters of PNA, Nikolai PATRUCHEV, Secretary of The Security council of the Russian Federation , who is visiting Algeria, leading an important delegation.
During this audience, which was attended by the secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, The Commanders of Forces and of National Gendarmerie, The Chiefs of Departments and Central Directors of General Staff of PNA and Ministry of National Defense, as well as members of the Russian delegation, both parties discussed the state of military cooperation between the two countries and ways of strengthen it and exchanged views on various issues of common interest.
On this occasion, The General deliverd a speech in which he welcomed Nikolai PATRUSHEV and the the accompanying delegation, expressing the wish that this visit will be beneficial for both sides and commensurate with the historical and strategic relations that bind the two countries:
“Allow me to welcome you to the headquarters of PNA, expressing the wish that your visit will be beneficial for both sides, especially since it represents, for us, the expression of the firm and frank will, which drives the two countries to further strengthen the strategic and historical partnership that characterizes their bilateral relations, Particularly in the field of military cooperation”.
In addition, The General underlined that the efforts made by the two countries to contribute to the establishment of sustainable peace and development are in line with the principles that have contributed to the development of cooperation relations. Between the two parties:
“These efforts in which Algeria and the Russian Federation are taking part for the establishment of lasting peace and development of lasting peace and development , with respect for the sovereignty of States, are in line with the immutable and historical principles, having contributed the development of close bilateral cooperation relations, based on mutual trust and common interests of the two countries”.
Nikolai PATRUSHEV, who expressed his happiness to be in Algeria, underlined that the historical relations between Algeria and Russia are deep and that his country is working to further strengthen them. In that context, he praised Algeria's pivotal role and the great efforts it is making to establish peace and stability in the region.
At the end of this meeting, the two sides exchanged symbolic gifts.
