General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA, on a working and inspection visit to the 6th Military Region
Within the framework of regular visits to the various Military Regions, General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army carried out, this Wednesday 11th January 2023, a working and inspection visit in the 6th Military Region.
This visit takes place within the framework of the follow-up, by PNA High Command, the level of the operational availability of the units established at this important Region, as well as working and living conditions of the personnel deployed in the extreme south of our borders.
After the welcoming ceremony, accompanied by Major General Mohammed ADJROUD, Commander of the 6th Military Region, the General observed a minute’s silence in memory of the deceased Moudjahid “HIBAOUI El-Wafi” whose Command headquarters bears his name, and laid a wreath of flowers in front of his commemorative stele, before reciting the Fatiha in his memory and that of the brave Chouhada.
During his meeting with the executives and the personnel of the 6th Military Region, the General addressed an orientation speech, in which he recalled the crucial importance of this Military Region, with regard to its strategic position highly sensitive. As such, he praised the remarkable results recorded in this Region and in all the other Military Regions, within the framework of the fight against terrorism and organized crime in all its forms, which has enabled to fight rigorously against these dangerous scourges.
On this occasion, the General followed an overall presentation on the security situation in the Region, presented by Major General Mohammed ADJROUD, Commander of the 6th Military Region, before giving instructions and orientations relating, in the whole, to the imperative to demonstrate greater vigilance and to redouble efforts to achieve the main objective set by the High Command of People's National Army, which consists of perpetuating security and stability in the entire national territory and to allow our people to live in serenity and tranquillity.
At the end, the General paid a visit the Joint Operational Staff Committee (CEMOC) headquarters; a mechanism dedicated to information exchange and coordination of actions on both sides of borders, between Algeria, Mauritania, Mali and Niger.
In addition, the General went to the new Regional Military University Hospital, where he visited the several departments of this important infrastructure which is able to ensure the best care of the military personnel exercising in this Military Region.
