General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA, chaired, this Tuesday 31st January 2023, at the Higher School of Materials in the 1st Military Region, the opening of the annual meeting work of Materials Arm executives.
After the welcoming ceremony and in presence of Secretary General of Ministry of National Defence, Commanders of Forces and of National Gendarmerie, Commander of the First Military Region, Chiefs of Departments of Ministry of National Defence and General Staff of PNA, Directors and Chiefs of Central Services, the General followed a presentation addressed by the Central Director of Materials, relating to the assessment of the activities carried out under the preparation program of the Forces for the year 2022, as well as the ongoing activities in the field of support for PNA battle corps units.

At the end, the General delivered an orientation speech, followed via videoconference by all the executives of the Central Directorate of Materials working in units located in the six Military Regions, during which he expressed his joy at presiding over the annual meeting of Materials Arm executives, urging participants to take advantage of this meeting to value and to improve the accumulated experiences:

“First of all, it is a pleasure for me to chair the annual meeting of Materials Arm executives, organized by the Central Materials Directorate, to assess the execution of the annual loaded plan for the year 2022, to draw up a general assessment of the activities in progress in the field of support for PNA battle corps units, then analyze it in order to find the appropriate solutions to the problems encountered and to remedy the shortcomings recorded.
This meeting is also an opportunity that I would like to seize to urge you to take advantage of this meeting with the purpose of enhancing and improving the accumulated experiences, with a view to achieve the highest level of assimilation of the assigned missions, as part of the technical support and the maintenance of the availability of all the components of PNA.”
The General also emphasized the crucial interest he attaches to the principle of functional and operational complementarities between the various components of the PNA, emphasizing that the aptitude, the morale and the combative capacity of the military largely depend on the reliability of the performance of the logistics networks:
“As such, we want the rules of availability that we want to concretize on the ground at the level of PNA battle corps, to be based on the principle of functional and operational complementarities between the different components of PNA.
Since logistics networks are the lifeblood that provides the PNA battle corps with everything it needs, at the right time and place and in quantities required, we are fully convinced that the aptitude, the morale and the combative capacity of the military largely depend on the reliability and performance of these logistics networks.”
The General announced then the official opening of the meeting work before inaugurating the psychological course of the combatant, where he followed a demonstration carried out by students of the Higher School of Materials of the 1st military region.
