General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA, on a working and inspection visit to the 2nd Military Region
Within the extension of the inspection visits to the various Military Regions, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, carried out this Sunday, 23rd July 2023, a working visit to the 2nd Military Region in Oran.
At the beginning of the visit and after the welcoming ceremony, given by Major-General Mohamed Taieb BRAKNI, Commander of the 2nd Military Region, the General observed a minute’s silence in memory of the late moudjahid "Ahmed BOUDJENANE" known as "Si Abbès", whose name is bear by the Region headquarters and laid, for the occasion, a wreath of roses in front of his commemorative stele and recited the Fatiha to his memory and that of the brave Chouhada.
At the end, and during his meeting with the executives and the staff of the 2nd military region, the General pronounced an orientation speech which was followed by videoconferencing by all the units of the region, in which he urged the personnel of People's National Army, and through them, all loyal and nationalist children, to redouble their efforts and to be more to the committed by the President of the Republic:
"I seize this opportunity to urge you, you who are mobilized in every part of our homeland, to defend the sovereignty of our land borders, our territorial waters and our airspace, and through you all the faithful children of our dear country, to redouble efforts and to demonstrate more performance, in order to contribute to the achievement of the noble national objectives committed by the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, especially since our country has human resources, natural, economic and intellectual resources which allow it to materialize its development project and to hoist our Nation among the emerging countries.
A promising project, the outlines of which are beginning to take shape, thanks to the achievements made in all areas in recent years, both in the consolidation of State institutions, the moralization of public life and the fight against corruption in all its forms, or even by restoring confidence between citizens and their constitutional institutions and strengthening the intrinsic stability of the State”.
The General stressed that Algeria is advancing with sure steps towards excellence, in the fields of regional and international geopolitics and that the continuation on this path with the same dynamics and the same pace, is a sacred duty which requires cohesion and synergy of efforts of all the devoted children of the homeland:
“Algeria is advancing with sure steps towards excellence, even at the top, in the fields of regional and international geopolitics. Continuing on this path with commitment and fidelity with the same dynamics and the same pace, is a sacred duty which requires the cohesion, harmony and synergy of efforts of all the devoted children of the homeland, so that Algeria can place itself as a leading country, strong, prosperous and actor of its environment.
This is not far to reach for the children of faithful and loyal November heroes, especially the young ones, who are the beating heart of the nation and its reserve in every way. We place a lot of hope in this youth for the present and the future of the country, so that it is up to the responsibilities and challenges, in the footsteps of its noble ancestors who sacrificed everything to liberate our dear homeland and raise its emblem high among other nations”.
At the end of the meeting, the floor was given to the personnel of the Region to express their interests and concerns, and who reiterated, on this occasion, their commitment to fully assume the noble missions with which they are invested.
