Operational report of PNA from 28TH June to 04TH July 2023
Within the framework of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 28th June to 04th July 2023, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect the professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and securing borders, detachments of People's National Army seized one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov and a quantity of ammunition during a reconnaissance patrol in In Amenas, while one (01) support element for terrorist group was apprehended in another separate operation.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within the continuity with the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (19) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce one (01) quintal and (64) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, and seized (422,259) psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, In Guezzam and In Amenas, detachments of PNA arrested (300) individuals and seized (17) vehicles, (137) generators, (80)Jackhammers, (04) metal detectors, (07, 5) tons of mixture of raw gold and stones, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold manning operations, while (06) other individuals were intercepted, and (07) hunting rifles, (81710) units of various beverages and (06) quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, the Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs services, smuggle attempts quantities of fuel amounting to (13474) litters in Tamanrasset, Tébessa, Souk Ahras and El-Tarf .
In addition, the Coast Guard thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts at and proceeded to the rescue of (131) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (291) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
