General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA on a working and inspection visit to the 1st Military Region
In continuation of his inspection visits to the various Military Regions, and as part of supervising the execution of combat readiness programs for the 2022/2023 training year, General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA , Chief of Staff of People's National Army began, this Friday, 16th June 2023, a working and inspection visit to the 1st Military Region in Blida
After the welcoming ceremony, given by Major General Ali SIDANE, Commander of the 1st Military Region, the General observed a minute’s silence in the memory of the chahid and hero "M'hammed BOUGARA", Commander of the historic wilaya IV, whose headquarters bears his name, and laid a wreath of flowers in front of his commemorative stele, before reciting the Fatiha in his memory and that of our brave martyrs.
Then, during his meeting with the executives and the personnel of the 1st Military Region, the General delivered an orientation speech, broadcast via videoconference through all the units of the Region, in which he underlined that the process of building the national state, with its various institutions, has reached advanced stages, thanks to the efforts made by the brave children of the country:
"The process of building a national state, with its various institutions, has today reached advanced stages, thanks to the sincere efforts made by the children of this dear country, led by the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, who is continuing with great determination the ambitious process of global reform initiated in recent years. Essentially based on the intelligent exploitation of all our potentialities, this process aims to build a modern Algerian society and to invest in all sectors, able to strengthen the power and immunity of the country.
The challenge today is to make Algerians adhere to everything that brings them together, in particular the common history and destiny, and that they ensure the strengthening of unity, fraternity and solidarity bonds".
General also stressed that the people have triumphed over all the designs that aimed to destabilize them throughout history, because they have remained attached to their national unity and identity:
"Reading the ancient and modern history of Algeria and reviewing the stages reached by the glorious liberation revolution, since its outbreak, after successive popular resistances, confirm that the Algerians, strong in their social cohesion and their identity constants, have not deviated from the path of their history. On the contrary, they achieved the greatest victories and led a unique revolution, which contributed to the liberation of many people around the world.
Our valiant people have triumphed over all the designs that have sought to destabilize them throughout history, thanks to their unwavering attachment to their unity and their identity, which has given them the determination and the strength to resist all the devious modes adopted which aimed to deal the fatal blow to its repository, deeply rooted in history".
The General emphasized the need to demonstrate greater vigilance, awareness and anticipation, to strengthen the stability of the State and meet the requirements of national power, in all its dimensions:
"To continue on the same path of our valiant predecessors, architects of popular resistance and the glorious revolution of liberation, and to continue the course of the valiant patriotic men, who preserved the foundations of the national State and the republican regime from the peril of the barbaric terrorism, today more than ever we are called to cling to our identity, to our unity and to our national and republican values, to become aware of the plots and designs that are being plotted against our country, to rise to the height of our brilliant combat history, and to be ready to meet present and future challenges.
Indeed, today we live in a world without mercy for the weak, where there is a place only for the strongest and the most meritorious, which requires us to demonstrate greater vigilance, and anticipatory approaches, aiming to strengthen the stability of the State, bringing together the requirements of national power, in all its dimensions, and concretizing the project of the expected national renewal".
At the end of this meeting, the General followed the interventions of the Region’s executives, and gave a series of orientations and recommendations relating in particular to the need to continue providing efforts of preparation for combat with a view to increase the operational availability of the units of the 1st Military Region at the highest levels.
