Operational report of PNA from May 31st to 06th June 2023
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from May 31st to 06th June 2023, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (13) support elements for terrorist groups in different operations.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within the continuity with the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge of in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (46) drug traffickers and defeated attempts to introduce (04) quintals and (01) kilogram of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, and seized (417,005) psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of PNA arrested (312) individuals and seized (32) vehicles, (341) generators, (215) jackhammers, (07) metal detectors, (136) quintals of raw gold and stones mixture, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold manning operations, while (26) other individuals were arrested, and (03) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, (19) hunting rifles, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (125) tons, in addition to (109) quintals of tobacco were seized in separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, the Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs services, smuggle attempts of quantities of fuel amounting to (72716) litres in Tebessa, Souk Ahras, El-Tarf, Tamanrasset and Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
On the other hand, the Coast Guards thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (256) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (155) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
