Operational report of PNA from 07th to 13th June 2023
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from June 07th to 13th 2023, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and securing borders, detachments of People's National Army arrested (18) support elements for terrorist groups in different operations, while other detachments seized, in Tamanrasset and Bordj Badji Mokhtar, one (01) submachine gun type FMPK, one (01) sniper rifle, (04) submachine guns type Kalashnikov and (03) grenades.
In the same context, the PNA security services arrested one (01) brigand, in Tamanrasset. It was about the so-called "HOUNATI Sid Amer" said "Bibi". The criminal who had in his possession one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov and a quantity of ammunition, was presented before the judicial authorities at Tamanrasset Court where he was placed under a warrant of deposit for the charges: carrying and transporting firearms and ammunition without authorization and the crime of causing fear among the population.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within the continuity with the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (48) drug traffickers and defeated attempts to introduce one (01) quintal and (98) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, and seized (44758) psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam, PNA detachments arrested (182) individuals and seized (28) vehicles, (39) generators, (31) jackhammers, (01) metal detector, (95 ) quintals of raw gold and stones mixture, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold panning operations, while (25) other individuals were arrested, and (10) hunting rifles, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (68) tons, (83) quintals of tobacco in addition to (26,491) units of various drinks were seized during distinct operations across the national territory. Similarly, the Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs services, attempts to smuggle quantities of fuel amounting to (21,320) litres in Tebessa, Souk Ahras, El-Tarf, Tamanrasset and Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (50) individuals aboard craft-built boats ,while (122) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
