General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA on a working and inspection visit to the 3rd Military Region
Within the framework of the monitoring of the execution of the 2022/2023 combat preparation program, at the level of the major units located in the six Military Regions, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, starts from today Monday, 08th May 2023, a working and inspection visit to the 3rd Military Region in Béchar.
After the welcoming ceremony, accompanied by Major General Moustapha SMAILI, Commander of the 3rd Military Region, the General observed a moment of slence in memory of the martyr Moustapha BENBOULAID, whose headquarters is called in his name, and laid a wreath o flowers in front of his commemorative stele, before reciting the Fatiha in his memory and in momery of the brave Chouhada.
At the headquarters of the Region, the General held an orientation meeting with the executives and personnel of the 3rd Military Region, where he delivered a speech, broadcast by videoconference to all the units of the Region, in which he underlined that the sacralisation of work, rigor and dedication remain the best way to succeed in the accomplishment of the assigned missions:
"Within the People's National Army, we are fully convinced that adapting to the accelerated developments that the world is experiencing today, implies, above all, the sanctification of work, rigor and dedication, which remain the best means to successfully complete assigned missions, maximize availability and achieve further progress in all areas of the profession of arms.
In this context, our army has recorded, in a fairly short period of time, considerable achievements,thanks to this line of conduct, which is in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence. We have devoted all the necessary attention, through the meeting of conditions, able to encourage staff and managers to work with rigor and in a framework of fair competition, each according to their area of competence and within the limit of its responsibilities".
The General also affirmed that People's National Army has become a professional army, thanks to its permanent concern to maintain operational readiness at its highest levels and to ensure the good preparation and training of our Armed Forces:
"In this wake, we have always worked to maintain operational readiness at its highest levels, as well as the qualitative preparation and training of our Armed Forces, so that they are able to assume their missions and constantly adapt to changes in the geopolitical context and complex issues facing the region.
This is how our army has become a truly professional army, a professional army by virtue of its performance and reasoning, an army which is not afraid of difficulties and challenges, an army which has all the factors power to deter and thwart the malicious attempts of cowardly conspirators, who aim at the security and stability of our dear homeland".
The General warned against the malicious plans which consist of attempts to flood our country with drugs, by calling on all the actors on the national scene, to participate in the noble battle against this dangerous scourge:
“It is within the framework of these malevolent plans that the attempts to flood our country with drugs, of all kinds, which are used as a pernicious weapon against our country and our people, in order to curb its ardour and shake his will.
For its part, the People's National Army, in close coordination with the various security services, will relentlessly pursue the fight against this scourge and will spare no effort to vigorously combat the trafficking networks and their barons, traitors of the nation, who deserve the most severe sanctions, in the sense that the health, safety and tranquillity of citizens are at stake.
As such, I call on all the actors on the national scene, parents, media men, schools and mosques including, to engage in this noble battle, through, in particular, the intensification of awareness campaigns to young people on the dangers of consuming these poisons, in order to put an end to this scourge which has taken on alarming proportions in recent times".
At the end, the General followed the interventions of the personnel of the 3rd Military Region, and listened to their concerns and proposals, before giving them a set of instructions and general orientations.
Subsequently, the General chaired a working session during which he followed an overall presentation on the general situation at the level of the territory of competence, before emphasizing the imperative of ensuring total availability personnel and units, to be more vigilant and to redouble their efforts to guarantee citizens all the conditions of security and peace of mind, throughout the entire territory of the Region.
