Within the framework of his field visit to the 5th Military Region, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA supervised, last night Sunday 30th April 2023, at the 5th Shooting and Manoeuvring Polygon of Amdoukal, the execution of a night tactical exercise with live ammunition, carried out by the units of the 7th Armoured Brigade, supported by units of the Land, Air Forces and technical support.
The General followed, at the start, a presentation given by the Commander of the 7th Armoured Brigade, on the general idea of the exercise and the different stages of its development, including a theoretical phase that involved the participation of the staffs of the regional commands and the engaged units, as well as a dynamic phase in which the units to carry out the exercise are engaged.

At the level Shooting and Manoeuvring Polygon, the General closely followed the progress of the exercise, carried out at night and in conditions very close to reality, following a plan drawn up in accordance with the predefined objectives, know how to forge the skills of the staffs to prepare night combat actions and strengthen their experience in the field of the conduct of planned actions, in order to achieve coherence and interoperability between the units and the elementary units to take part at the different stages of the battle, in addition to allowing the crews to acquire more skills in the mastery of modern weapons equipment and systems, and to test their operational readiness and their ability to carry out possible night combat missions , which will undoubtedly make it possible to evaluate the skills of the command and the staffs of the Brigade and the support units through all the stages of preparation, conduct and execution of the exercise.



The execution of this exercise has clearly highlighted the ability of participating units to succeed in the accomplishment their assigned missions, which is, in itself a success and the testament of the good mastery by the crews of different weapons and state-of-the-art equipment. . This also demonstrates the development, readiness and operational interoperability that our Armed Forces have achieved in the execution of this kind of high-level tactical exercises.
At the end of the exercise, the General inspected the participating units before holding a debriefing session with the personnel of these units, during which he congratulated them for the laborious efforts that they consented during the entire period of combat preparation, as well as during the preparation and execution of this exercise. He also gave them a set of instructions and guidance aimed at objectively evaluate the results of this exercise, in order to achieve the expected results.
