General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA receives in audience the Joint Chief of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces
General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army received in audience, this Tuesday 2nd May 2023, at the headquarters of PNA, Major General Youssef Ahmed AL-HANNITI, Joint Chief of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, who is on a working visit to Algeria at the head of an important military delegation.
The welcoming ceremony began with the salute of the national flag, followed by the military salute presented to the host by a military formation, representing the various Forces of PNA.
During this meeting, in which took part the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commanders of Forces, the Chiefs of Departments and the Central Directors of the General Staff of PNA and of the Ministry of National Defence, as well as members of the Jordanian delegation, the two sides discussed security challenges in the Arab region and on the African continent and exchanged views on issues of common interest, as well as ways to strengthen military cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries.
On this occasion, the General delivered a speech, in which he welcomed the host delegation, emphasizing that this visit is an opportunity to work to bring bilateral military cooperation to the highest level in the interest of both sides:
"I am glad to receive you today at the headquarters of the General Staff of the People's National Army and to convey to you and to the delegation which accompanies you, the highest marks of welcome on the occasion of your visit to Algeria, which we consider to be an opportunity to work together to bring bilateral military cooperation to the highest level in the interest of both sides.
Indeed, your visit, which comes in the wake of that made by His Majesty King Abdullah II to Algeria in December 2022, at the invitation of his brother, Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, The President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, and beyond what it contributes to the strengthening of the ties of brotherhood and friendship between the two countries, it has made it possible to anchor the relations of cooperation in several sectors".
The General highlighted the quality of the bilateral military relations between the two countries which are distinguished by mutual understanding and are reflected in many areas, and this, thanks to the solid will that animates the high authorities of both countries:
For his part, Major General, Joint Chief of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, expressed his joy at visiting Algeria, and welcomed the deep fraternal relations which bind the two countries and which the level of military cooperation between the two armies, in the various fields.
At the end of this meeting, the two sides exchanged symbolic gifts, before Major General Youssef Ahmed Al-HANNITI signed the Guest Book of the PNA General Staff.
