Operational report of PNA from 26th to 02nd April 2023
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 26th to 02nd April 2023, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (05) support elements for terrorist groups in different operations, while (02) home-made bombs were discovered and destroyed in Blida.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with the sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (42) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce (12) quintals and (56) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, and seized (116,503) psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, detachments of PNA arrested (160) individuals and seized (30) vehicles, (139) generators, (68) jackhammers and (06) metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold manning operations, while (22) other individuals were arrested, and one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, (09 ) hunting rifles, large quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (156) tons, as well as (3918) units of different beverages were seized in separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, the Border Guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs services, thwarted attempts to smuggle quantities of fuel amounting to (172,271) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tébessa and Souk Ahras.
On the other hand, the Coast Guards thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, attempts at illegal emigration and proceeded to the rescue of (100) individuals on board homemade boats, while (161) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
