Operational report of PNA from 03rd to 09th April 2023
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 03rd to 09th April 2023, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (05) support elements for terrorist groups in different operations.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with the sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (41) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce (05) quintals and (40) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, and seized (295666) psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji, Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, detachments of PNA arrested (412) individuals and seized (13) vehicles, (191) generators, (82) jackhammers and (02) metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold manning operations, while (25) other individuals were arrested, and (15) hunting rifles, large quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (54.2) tons ,as well as (15.9) quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, the Border Guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs services, foiled attempts to smuggle quantities of fuel amounting to (35,386) liters in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tebessa and Souk Ahras.
On the other hand, (121) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
