within the framework of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the security services of People's National Army, three (03) terrorists surrendered, on Friday,19th May 2023, to the Military Authorities of the Operational Sector of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region . The surrendered terrorists are identified as "MELLLOUKI Habib" alias "Habib Allah" who joined the terrorist groups in 2012, "MELLLOUKI Sidia" alias "Abou Meryem" who joined the terrorist groups in 2012 and "MAHRI Belkheir" , who had joined terrorist groups in 2013. These terrorists were active within terrorist groups in the Sahel region and had in their possession:

• Three (03) - submachine gun types Kalashnikov;
• One (01) 7.65 mm caliber automatic pistol;
• Two (02) F1 defensive grenades;
• Eleven (11) ammunition magazines for Kalashnikov;
• One (01) magazine for automatic pistol;
• (295) bullets of different calibers;
• A transceiver.

      This operation reiterates the People's National Army's determination to fight against terrorism and all forms of crime and denotes the efforts made, on the ground, by our Armed Forces to establish a climate of peace and tranquility throughout the national territory.
