General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA on a working visit to the 4th Military Region.
As part of the follow-up to the execution of the 2022-2023 combat preparation program across all Military Regions, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, began today, Monday 06th March 2023, a working and inspection visit to the units of the 4th Military Region.
The visit began from the Operational Sector South-East Djanet, where a welcoming ceremony was given by Major-General Omar TLEMCANI, Commander of the 4th Military Region. Afterwads, the General held a meeting with the executives and staff aforementioned Operational Sector during which he delivered an orientation speech which was followed, by vision conference, by all the staff of the 4th Military Region. . On this occasion, the General recalled the sacrifices and achievements of the Chouhada of Algeria, which gave sacrifice its true meaning and made their pure bodies a bridge that led Algeria to independence, freedom and sovereignty:
"We will not fail, in this month of March, which certainly deserves to bear the name month of Chouhada, to remind us all the exploits and achievements of those who gave sacrifice its true meaning, made of their bodies pure bridge that led Algeria to independence, freedom and sovereignty and constituted an authentic national reference, placed in the hands of the faithful children of Algeria who will never deviate from it".
The General hailed the praiseworthy initiatives of the President of the Republic aimed at consolidating the regional and continental role of Algeria, which is constantly strives to be a stabilizing factor in the region and contribute to the sustainable development of neighbouring countries:
“Algeria, aware of the repercussions of instability in its immediate environment, on its security and on the constants of its people, is constantly strives to be a stabilizing factor in the region and to contribute to the sustainable development of neighbouring countries.
It is in this context that the constant efforts of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense aimed at strengthening Algeria's regional role and preserving its place on the African scene; are inscribed; this being reflected in the respect that the majority of the continent's countries and their peoples have for it, and this, with regard to the wise approaches adopted by the Algerian State since independence in favor of just causes on this continent and in the world and the unfailing support provided to peoples to assert their right to self-determination".
The General assured that Algeria has always worked to lend a hand to African countries, in particular through their support in consolidating their security situation, by privileging internal solutions, respecting the sovereignty of countries and the refusal of any form of interference in their internal affairs:
“Algeria has always lent a hand to African countries, with a view to preserving their stability and security, and supporting them in consolidating their security situation, by favouring internal solutions, respect for the sovereignty of countries and the refusal of any form of interference in their internal affairs, in addition to the aid it provides in the various fields, military, economic and humanitarian.
It is in this perspective that the far-sighted decision that the President of the Republic, announced at the 36th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, held a few days ago in Addis Ababa, which consists in allocating one billion dollars to the revitalization of African solidarity mechanisms and the promotion of the continent's development, based on the principle that security and peace cannot be established in Africa without effective development.
As such, Algeria, despite vain attempts to discredit its role and position in the continent, remains an important factor in the African equation and a main actor in its vital space.
At the end of the meeting, the General of the Army made a point of inquiring about the concerns of the personnel of the 4th Military Region, who expressed their determination to make greater efforts in the accomplishment of the missions assigned to them. Assigned, in particular the securing of borders and the protection of the national territory from any possible scourge or threat.
The General then proceeded to the inauguration of new infrastructures for the benefit of the personnel of the garrison of Djanet and their families.
