The third day of the official visit of General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, to the People’s Republic of China
Within the framework of his official visit to China, and at the headquarters of the Central Military Commission, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, on 14th November 2023, had a meeting with General Xu Xiang, chief of the Equipment Development Department at the Central Military Commission.
During this expanded meeting, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA expressed to his host his deep gratitude for this honouring, which he and the accompanying delegation received. He also conveyed to him the message of Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic of Algeria, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, to his counterpart, President Xi Jinping, and to the friendly Chinese people:
"I would like to express to you, at the beginning, my sincere thanks and deep gratitude for the hospitality and generosity that we have received since our arrival in the friendly People's Republic of China.
On this occasion, I bring a message of friendship from Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic of Algeria, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, to his counterpart, President Xi Jinping, and to the friendly Chinese people and their Armed forces".
In his speech, General also would to recall the excellence of the long-standing relations between the two friendly countries, which witnessed an important expansion of the strategic partnership:
"I would also like to emphasize our high and distinguished appreciation for the quality of the relations between our two countries, which have improved thanks to the will of the two countries leaders to raise its quality, which has enabled the deepening and expansion of our strategic partnership, as was the recent visit of Mr. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to your friendly country, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping had a good impact on strengthening Algerian-Chinese historical relations, as this visit was very successful, culminating in the signing of nineteen (19) agreements and memorandums of understanding, in various fields, including the fields of security and defence".
General Saïd CHANEGRIHA also called for the need to strengthen the bilateral relations that bind the two countries in various fields in a way that responds to the ambitions and aspirations of the two countries and the two armies:
"The quality of the relations that bind our countries and our armies calls on us today, more than ever before, to move forward and work together to define a promising and ambitious framework for the benefit of both parties, allowing the expansion of the fields of bilateral military cooperation to reach a high level that is compatible with our common capabilities and responds to our aspirations".
During this meeting, the two parties discussed ways to enforce military and security coordination and cooperation between the two countries.
After that, General Chief of People's National Army Staff, visited the headquarters of the CASIC Military Industries Complex and its Civic Company (CVIC) in the capital, Beijing, where he was briefed on the updated production of this company in the field of manufacturing vehicles and armoured vehicles. He also received comprehensive explanations about the modern technologies used. In the Chinese defence system.
Then, General visited NORINCO Company, located on the outskirts of the Chinese capital, where he was received by executives of this company who expressed their desire to exchange experiences with Algeria in the field of military industries.
