Operational report of PNA from the 25th of October to the 1st of November 2023
In the context of the continuing efforts to combat terrorism and organized crime in all its forms, units and detachments of People’s National Army carried out, during the period from the 25th October to the 1st of November 2023, several operations crowned with high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (07) elements supporting terrorist groups, during various operations carried out across the national territory.
In the fight against organized crime and as part of the continued efforts to counter the menace of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (69) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (07) quintals and (49) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while ( 16,814) Kilograms of Cocaine and (158117) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar , Tindouf and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (64) individuals and seized (39) vehicles, (149) generators, (109) jackhammers, (60) quintal of stones and gold mixture, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations, while (35) other individuals were intercepted and (33) hunting rifles, (41229)Liters of Fuel, (111) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation , (84) quintals of tobacco and (7126) units of various beverages were seized in separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on our national coasts, and illegal emigration attempts and rescued (14) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (190) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
