Operational report of PNA from 15th to 21st November 2023
In the context of the continuing efforts to combat terrorism and organized crime in all its forms, units and detachments of People’s National Army carried out, during the period from the 15th to 21st November 2023 several operations executed with high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (08) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory, while (02) homemade bombs were discovered and destroyed during a search and racking operation in Blida.
Within the framework of fight against organized crime and within continued efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, joint detachments of People’s National Army, in coordination with various security services during operations across the military regions, arrested (50) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (03) quintals and (81) kilograms of treated kif crossed the border with Morocco, while (4,376) kilograms of Cocaine and (240245) psychotropic tablets were seized .
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezam, In Saleh and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested (158) persons and seized (38) vehicles, (224) generators, (84) jackhammers, and (130) quintals of raw gold and stones, in addition quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations, while (15) other people were arrested and (06) hunting rifles, (29634) litters of fuel, (31) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation, and (16) quintals of tobacco and (21389) units of various beverages were seized, during separate operations across the national territory .
Furthermore, the Coast-Guard thwarted illegal emigration attempts on our national coasts and rescued (449) individuals aboard artisanal boats while (333) illegal immigrants from different nationalities from were arrested across the national territory.
