Operational report of PNA from 22nd to 28th November 2023
Within the framework of their sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and organised crime in all its forms, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations during the period from 22nd to 28th November 2023. These operations produced high-quality results that reflect the high level of professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of People's National Army Forces, the terrorist known as AKKADI SEDIK surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region. The operation resulted in the seizure of one (01 ) machine pistol type Kalashnikov, (01) calibre machine gun barrel 14.5 mm with accessories, (132) mortar shells 60 mm calibre and detonators, (04 ) rockets RPG-2, as well as (3002) bullets of various calibres, (07) ammunition magazines and one (01) pair of binoculars.
In the same context, People's National Army detachments arrested (09) elements supporting terrorist groups.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the sustained efforts to thwart the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (55) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle (14) quintals and (11) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while (125884) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (191) individuals and seized (22) vehicles, (130) generators, (70) jackhammers, (16) metal detectors, (17) quintals of mixed stones and raw gold, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, (40) other individuals were intercepted and (25) hunting rifles, (56040) litres of fuel, (19) tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (75) quintals of tobacco were seized in separate operations across the country.
In addition, (109) illegal immigrants of various nationalities were arrested throughout the country.
