Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, Major General Mohamed Salah BENBICHA supervised, on Wednesday, 4th October, 2023, at the Army’s National Circle in Ain Naadja, 1st Military Region, the closing ceremony of the multi-component exercise to enhance the capabilities of intervention in chemical emergencies, entitled “Chemex-Africa”, addressed to the representatives of States Parties to the Convention on the prohibition of Chemical Weapons to the African region, at the end the trainees received certificates of participation, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Canada, representatives of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and national authorities as well as executives of the Ministry of National Defence.



      This regional event, which was hosted by Algeria in cooperation with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, during the period from 23rd September to 4th October, 2023, was conducted by national and foreign trainers under the supervision of international observers and evaluators.
