Operational report of PNA from 4th to 10th October 2023
In the context of the continuing efforts made to combat organized crime in all its forms, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 4th to 10th October 2023, several operations crowned with qualitative results that reflect professionalism and constant vigilance and readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (12) elements supporting terrorist groups, during various operations carried out across the national territory.
In the fight against organized crime and as part of the continued efforts to counter the menace of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (58) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (09) quintals and (61) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (339337) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (312) individuals and seized (30) vehicles, (216) generators, (126) jackhammers, (01) metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations, while (28) other individuals were intercepted and (14) hunting rifles, (02) automatic pistols, (17189) liters of fuel, (18) quintals of tobacco, (11) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (16,806) units of various drinks were seized in separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on our national coasts, and illegal emigration attempts and rescued (126) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (775) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
