Operational report of PNA from the 6th to the 12th of September 2023
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 6th to 12th September 2023, several operations leading to quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People’s National Army intercepted three (03) elements of support for terrorist groups and the discovery, the seizure of two (02) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, four (04) Homemade bombs and a quantity of ammunition during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (55) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (4) quintals and (9) kilograms of Treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (116 773) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In-Salah and In Guezzam, PNA detachments arrested (66) individuals and seized (21) vehicles, (146) generators, (84) jackhammers, (05) metal detector, (10) quintals of raw gold stones mixture, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (37) other individuals were intercepted and (24) hunting rifles, and (65) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (31 938) units of Various Drinks and (152) quintals of Tabaco were seized in separate operations across the national territory. Likewise, the border guards, in coordination with the national gendarmerie and Douanes, foiled attempts to smuggle a quantity of fuel amounting to (35305) liters of fuel in Adrar, Tebessa, Souk Ahras and El-Tarf.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard foiled, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (77) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (87) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
