Operational report of PNA from the 13th to the 19th of September 2023
Within the dynamic of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from the 13th to the 19th of September 2023, several operations crowned with high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army carried out, the arrest of (06) elements supporting terrorist groups during two separate operations across the national territory. While (05) handmade bombs were discovered and destroyed in a search and inspection operation in Tlemcen.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and as a continuation of sustained efforts aiming to thwart drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (60) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (09) quintals and (70) A kilogram of treated kif across the border with Morocco, while (118,596) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, In Gazzam, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, and In Amenas, detachments of People's National Army arrested (291) individuals and seized (46) vehicles, (124) generators, (115) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, and (130) quintals of raw gold and stones mixture, in addition to quantities of explosives, detonation equipment, and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, while (57) other individuals were arrested, and (14) hunting rifles, (80) quintals of tobacco, and (235) were seized, tons of foodstuffs destined for smuggling and speculation, (15,512) units of various beverages, as well as (73,403) units of various pyrotechnics articles, during separate operations across the national territory. Border guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs, also thwarted attempts to smuggle quantities of fuel estimated at 11,851 liters in Tebessa, Souk Ahras and El Tarf.
On the other hand, coast guards thwarted illegal emigration attempts on our national coasts and rescued (88) individuals on board traditional-made boats, while (84) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
