Operational report of PNA from the 20th to the 26th of September 2023
In the context of the continuing efforts made to combat organized crime in all its forms, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 20th to 26th September 2023, several operations crowned with qualitative results that reflect professionalism and constant vigilance and readiness of our armed forces throughout the national territory:
In this context and in continuation of the tireless efforts aiming to confront drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with various security services during operations across the military regions, arrested (55) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (08) quintals and (74) kilograms of treated kif coming from the border with Morocco, while (2.6) kilograms of cocaine and (170,174) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, In Gezam, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested (320) people and seized (12) vehicles, (336) generators, (217) jackhammers, and (03) metal detectors, in addition to quantities of explosives tools, and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, while (25) other people were arrested, and (03) machine guns type Kalashnikov, (27) hunting rifles, (170) quintals of tobacco, and (336,851) units of pyrotechnic items were seized, during separate operations across the national territory. Border guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie and Customs services, also thwarted smuggle attempts of quantities of fuel estimated at (32,582) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tebessa, Souk Ahras and El Tarf.
On the other hand, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested (562) illegal immigrants from different nationalities across the national territory.
