General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of PNA Staff, on working and inspection visit to the 2nd Military Region
As part of monitoring the implementation of combat readiness programs of the Forces, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff, conducted a working and inspection visit today, Wednesday, 7th August 2024, to the 2nd Military Region, in Oran.
Following the welcome ceremony, led by Major General Mohamed Tayeb BRAKNI, Commander of the 2nd Military Region, Mister the General observed a moment of tribute to the late moudjahid Ahmed BOUDJENANE known as "Si Abbès", whose name graces the Region Command headquarters. On this occasion, he laid a wreath of flowers at his commemorative plaque and recited the Fatiha in his memory and that of the valorous martyrs.
Subsequently, Mister the General visited the Main Naval Base of Mers-El-Kebir, where he was welcomed by Major General Mahfoudh BENMEDDAH, Commander of the Naval Forces, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the progress of planned development projects and combat readiness activities of the personnel and units, especially during the summer period.
During this visit, Mister the General expressed his high regard for the efforts made by the units of the 2nd Military Region in general, and the Naval Forces units in particular, in fulfilling their noble missions. He also highlighted the operational readiness level achieved by the personnel and their thorough mastery of the high technologies equipment and means at their disposal, reflecting the positive results achieved. He then gave instructions and guidance on the need to double sincere and dedicated efforts in service of the People's National Army.
Finally, Mister the General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff, reviewed a formation of floating naval units that paid him honors.
