General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff on a working and inspection visit to the 1st Military Region
As part of his inspection visits to the different components of People's National Army on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff, carried out this Tuesday, 2nd April 2024, a working and inspection visit to the headquarters of the 1st Military Region in Blida.
After the welcome ceremony, given by Major General Ali Sidane, Commander of the 1st Military Region, the General observed a moment of meditation in memory of the Chahid and hero “Ahmed Bougara”, Commander of the Historical Wilaya IV, whose seat of the Region is named after him. He then laid a wreath of flowers in front of the Chahid's memorial monument and recited the Fatiha in his memory and that of our valiant Chouhada.
Then, the General met the executives and staff of the 1st Military Region, where he delivered an orientation address broadcast, by videoconference, to all units in the Region, through which he stressed that People's National Army will continue, with determination and rigor, the development of its defence capabilities in all areas, and the maintenance of its operational preparation at the highest level, in order to serve the supreme interests of the Nation:
“On this occasion, I would like to emphasize that People's National Army, worthy heir of the National Liberation Army, will continue, with determination and rigor, the development of its defence capabilities in all areas, and the maintenance of its operational preparation at the highest level, so as to defend the supreme interests of the Nation. Likewise, it will ensure the strengthening of the sacred bond which unites it with its people, and which gives our country greater strength and resilience, which protects it against all dangers and threats”.
The General praised the unity and cohesion of Algerian society with all its components, which will undoubtedly constitute a solid bulwark against all threats:
“We are confident that these threats will be contained thanks to the efforts of brave patriotic men, as well as the cohesion and the innate sense of solidarity that characterizes Algerian society.
This bond and this cohesion are a solid bulwark against anyone who would dare to harm the holy land of Algeria, or its popular and territorial unity and its vital interests”.
At the end, the General followed, with great interest, the interventions of the executives of the Region, and gave them a set of instructions and orientations relating essentially to the need to continue the efforts combat preparation with all the rigor and seriousness required, in order to maintain the operational preparation of the Region's units at the highest level.
