Operational report of PNA from 27th March To 2nd April 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 27th March to 2nd April, 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment of People's National Army captured the terrorist called "E.A.Yahia" in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region, in his possession (01) Kalashnikov type submachine gun and a quantity of ammunition , while (02) elements supporting terrorist groups were apprehended during two separate operations.
As part of fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations distinct executions across the Military Regions, (33) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (14) quintals and (64) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (235,386) psychotropic tablets were seized .
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtaret Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (136) individuals and seized (24) vehicles, (85) generators, (36) jackhammers, as well as quantities of explosives, tools detonation and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations. Likewise, (38) other individuals were intercepted and (06) hunting rifles, (44,151) liters of fuel, (181) tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (44) quintals of tobacco were seized, during distinct operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, detachments of People's National Army arrested (1788) illegal immigrants of different nationalities throughout the national territory.
