In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 3rd to April 9th , 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (08) elements supporting terrorist groups, during separate operations across the national territory.

      Within the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (26) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (639) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (1,160) grams of cocaine and (28,141) psychotropic tablets were seized.





      In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, PNA detachments arrested (310) individuals and seized (21) vehicles, (96) generators, (70) jackhammers, (23) metal detectors, (124 ) quintals of raw gold and stones mixture , as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations. Likewise, (16) other individuals were intercepted and (07) hunting rifles, (28,850) liters of fuel and (45) tones of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during separate operations across the national territory.




      Furthermore, the Coast Guard foiled, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (53) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (703) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
