In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from10th to 17th April 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "A.Aïssa" named "Abou Youcef" surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th MR, in his possession (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition and other effects. In the same context, PNA detachments arrested (10) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the country.


      As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aiming to thwart the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (39) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (109) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (562) grams of cocaine and (129,026) psychotropic tablets were seized.



      In Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam et Tindouf, PNA detachments arrested (101) individuals and seized (26) vehicles, (46) generators, (46) jackhammers, (11) metal detectors, (08) quintals of mixed stones and raw gold, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (14) other individuals were intercepted and (05) hunting rifles, (05) automatic pistols, (36,744) litters of fuel and (14) quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the national territory.



      Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (108) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (351) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
