General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, chaired, this Thursday, 12
th December, 2024, at the National School of Military Health, in the 1
st Military Region, the proceedings of the annual meeting of military health executives.
After the welcoming ceremony, given by the Commander of the 1st Military Region and the Central Director of Military Health Services, the General followed a presentation by the Central Director of Military Health Services, on the progress of the Directorate's development plan, in which he took stock of the activities included in the workload plan for the 2023-2024 financial year, as well as he presented a presentation on future projects at the level of the health structures of People’s National Army.
Subsequently, the General delivered an orientation speech, which was followed by videoconference by the executives and personnel of military health, deployed across the six Military Regions. During this meeting, the General stressed the importance of the military health sector, which is entrusted with the missions of medical care for military personnel and medical coverage for citizens, particularly in the border areas of the Great South.

"First of all, I would like to express my pleasure in chairing the annual meeting of military health executives, which aims to assess the implementation rate of the 2024 workload plan, to take stock of current activities in terms of medical services provided to personnel and their beneficiaries.
We consider the military health sector to be an integral part of the potential of the battle corps, and we ensure that it is one of the important factors in strengthening the availability of our human potential to fully accomplish the missions assigned to them, in all circumstances.
Ensuring good medical care for our military personnel, across all military regions, and contributing to the medical coverage of our fellow citizens, particularly in the border areas of the Great South, constitute a crucial mission through which we work to achieve the health security of our army and our country."

The General also listened to the interventions of the military health executives, before giving them instructions and guidelines mainly on the need to improve services and working methods, with a view to promoting the quality of medical care for personnel.
At the end, the General visited the Central Army Hospital, where he inaugurated the Hospital's logistics center, before inspecting its various components, and following a comprehensive presentation on this important infrastructure, its amenities and its support missions that must meet the necessary requirements, to enable the hospital's executives and staff to provide quality medical services.
On this occasion, the General stressed the need to pool efforts to preserve and ensure the maintenance of this important asset, so as to enable it to accomplish its missions and contribute to improving the services of the Central Army Hospital.
